We made our annual Christmas pilgrimage to Chicago to spend time between our parents' homes and visiting with friends. The girls had a blast opening gifts on Christmas Eve with cousins Keira and Brendan and being spoiled by Nana and Papa.

We also spent a great time with the Polanco cousins and my parents. The weather was unseasonably warm and so we had a chance to visit Lincoln Park Zoo. Unfortunately most of the animals seemed to be hibernating. In any case it was fun for the cousins to be chasing each other around the zoo and playing inside the Children's zoo elevated tunnel.
We also saw the window displays at Marshall Field's on State Street and the Christmas tree at Daley Plaza. Unforutnately we forgot our camera so I don't have photographic proof.
This year we came home a few days earlier to enjoy a long weekend and have our own Christmas morning.
The kids made out good.

It was a wonderfully relaxing weekend as the girls played quite happily with their new dolls and "puppies".

Update
So I finished this original post a couple of weeks ago, but forgot to hit "post", so here are some more recent photos.
It snowed again recently so we took advantage to play in the yard, build our first snowman of the season and went sledding.
Hopefully it'll snow some more so we can go cross-country skiing and more sledding!
