The Easter season was busy with celebrating Fiona's birthday and Sofia's kindergarten recital. The Boyd cousins and Nana and Papa were also in town to celebrate both of those occasions.
We hosted a "Princess Party" at our house for a dozen of her closest friends.
Fellow troublemaker, Brendan, is ready for cupcakes, while classmate Lucy cheers Fiona on.

Sofia's Recital
Sofia had been preparing for month's for the Poetry Show at her school. She memorized several poems and she got to wear a fairy dress. What more can you want? Sofia's main poem was "A Poem in Your Pocket" which even Fiona memorized after hearing it so many times.
She did great and looked adorable! Cousins Brendan and Keira (and their parents) made it from Illinois just in time to see her performance! She was very proud of herself, as she should be, and of course we were as well.
First Easter Egg Hunt at "our" Park
Some of the ladies of the OC, organized the first annual Easter Egg hunt and even hosted the Easter Bunny. We hid 1000 eggs and had a pretty good turnout. Fiona and Sofia did pretty well and afterwards we immediately departed for a weekend in Chicago.
Look closely and you'll find some eggs in the grass.

Pony Camp!
Fiona went through her first pony camp and Sofia's an old pro. Here are pics from their last class as they show off in various poses.

Our friends Molly and Joel and their kids are having their home majorly rehabbed and are living with us for a few months. The kids have a blast (for the most part) playing together and here Will and Sofia built a volcano in the backyard. Unfortunately I don't have many pictures, but rest assured it was a success.

And this is our neighborhood library, which is over 100 years old. We're weekly visitors and I love it!
And finally one lone photo from Sofia's birthday party at "Pump it Up". Sofia's classmates and neighborhood friends joined her for a morning of jumping around and they had a great time. Happy Birthday mi amor! A great start to her 6th year!
