Sofia had a nice Valentine’s Day at school, filled with goodies, including a Minnie doll given to her by her previous teacher, Ms. Debbie. Minnie’s almost as big as Sofia.
Prez Weekend
Sofia and I had a nice, long weekend thanks to President’s Day. Sofia and I went to our first music class at the Cleveland Music Settlement School. The teacher led the class by singing while gesturing with her hands and arms. Moms were encouraged to do the same so the kids would follow suit. Sofia seemed embarrassed by the strange gestures because she kept grabbing my hands and kept them in my lap. After a few songs, and marching, the teacher pulled out scarves, which Sofia liked, and some drums. Sofia’s used to playing with daddy’s congo drums, so she seemed comfortable with the larger drums.
On Saturday we visited the newest Ohio City resident just born a week ago. Mae was sleeping when we arrived and she looked adorable in her pink hat. Sofia and Will played and shared Kashi cereal. After a little while Mae was ready for lunch. I meant to take an “after” photo, but here’s the “before” lunch pic:

Nora B. also visited. She’s a growing baby at almost four months :)
On Monday, Sofia and I went to the Children’s Museum. It was very busy, but Sofia seemed to have fun and even ventured on the slide in the “barn” a few times. Sofia also played “receptionist” and “doctor” in the little clinic.
After the museum we met Daddy for lunch.
